Meet the Phil Aitken Home Team

Meet the Phil Aitken Home Team:

Ranked as one of the top 10 realtors in northeast Florida by the Jacksonville Business Journal, The Phil Aitken Home Team attributes their success to a true passion for always putting the needs of clients first as evidenced by their professional history. Founded in 2014 by Phil Aitken, this multi-faceted, team-driven group of only two people closed out the year with 19 home sales at a total sales volume of $3,706,171.  That volume, as well as the team, have continued to experience exponential growth.

In fact, The Aitken Home Team is currently projecting a total sales volume of $82,000,000 with a goal of assisting 330 families next year and 500 families in three years. Consistently making the list of top ten in volume of monthly home sales, the team thrives on nearly a 70% repeat client/customer referral base.  In addition, The Aitken Home Team gives back! With a desire to raise $100,000 for the Tim Tebow Foundation, The Aitken Home Team thrives on these referrals in order to surrender the profits to this amazing faith-based foundation, thus fulfilling their own mission: Enrich lives and fulfill dreams while glorifying God.

Making EVERY client feel like their ONLY client, The Aitken Home Team removes the risk of buying or selling a home with personal guarantees and their innovative Love it or List it program.

About Phil

Raised in a blue collar town in northwest Indiana, Phil Aitken’s Marine father familiarized him with hard work, honesty, integrity and ambition as a natural, everyday way of life. Hands were to be shaken firmly, yet warmly and eye contact was never to be avoided.

Raised by a pair of athletes, Phil was parented with a foundational approach, especially in regards to teamwork and perseverance, always encouraged to give everything nothing less than his best.

Phil’s entrepreneurial spirit was born when he launched his candy business at age six in order to raise friends for sports teams. Taking his candy career very seriously, his competitive nature continued to soar as he managed a paper route from ages eight to fourteen. In middle school, Phil worked on one of the largest Arabian horse farms in the world where he took his duty mucking out stalls and mowing forty acres of grass weekly quite seriously. Phil was equally dedicated to all tasks, regardless of scale or importance.

Age 19 proved to be pivotal for Phil as he formally began a sales career that would lay the foundation for unimaginable success 31 years later. Phil persevered in his role as office typewriter salesman, becoming the youngest copier salesman ever promoted to general manager of a prestigious company at 25. This success only fueled his drive as he set company records for the largest individual sales in company history. TWICE.

Relocating to Jacksonville

In 1999, Phil relocated to Jacksonville where he worked with Adams Remco until 2005. He joined NEFBA (Northeast Florida Builders Association) in 2001 and obtained his real estate license in 2005, not knowing the direction in which his new career would take him.

Familiarizing himself with new construction sales, Phil became increasingly interested in the real estate industry and acquired his broker’s license. Unfortunately, the market crashed just four years later (2009), leaving Phil jobless and penniless with two children in college and a cancer diagnosis for his wife, Janet.

Phil pressed forward in faith, trusting God to propel him as he tended to Janet for two straight months without a paycheck, almost losing the family’s home. His church graciously gifted him two months’ wages. Plus, an anonymous person mailed a check to the Aitken home for an additional month of financial security. God continued providing via a contract position when entailed selling training during the worst possible time for the economy. Phil worked hard, understanding that his straight commission check could make or break his family. The Lord pulled the Aitken’s through this difficult time and Janet was soon cancer-free!

A Return to Real Estate

Due to the hardship of 2009, Phil has an insatiable drive to survive. In 2014, Phil returned to real estate, working to ensure his family would never again suffer as they had in 2009. Phil’s ultimate purpose has always been to honor God, serve others, pursue excellence and grow profitably in order to benefit others.

Phil’s ship has been tossed about the sea, but never rudderless. His innovative, entrepreneurial spirit creates a willingness to do the hard things of life with great optimism. He has hopefulness and knowledge that the best is yet to come. Phil sees the very best in people, withstands adversity, values integrity and remains consistent in his love for Jesus.
