Phil obtained his real estate license in 2005 and soon began selling new construction homes. In 2009, his family suffered great heartache at the hands of the recession, netting only $23,000 with two children in college and a cancer diagnosis for Phil’s wife, Janet. With a drive to survive, Phil faithfully guided his family through countless trials while nearly losing their home. Phil’s determination to provide for his family drove him to internet marketing and business-to-business sales as a source of income.
In 2014, the market began to recover and the Aitken family encouraged Phil, at age 50, to return to real estate at Keller Williams. As a result of reading “The Millionaire Real Estate Agent,” Phil’s desire was never one dimensional. His vision was to build a multifaceted, team-driven business. Phil did just that! He launched his business just one month after joining Keller Williams, when Susan Ross came on board as Director of Operations. Susan states she was confident that she would be participating in “something big.”
In 2015, Phil’s now cancer-free wife, Janet, eagerly joined the enthusiastic team.

Phil is now the successful leader of a well-established business, experiencing exponential growth annually since its conception. From administrative staff to specialized agents and transaction coordinators, Phil’s ability to pinpoint individual skill sets and abilities empowers staff members to take ownership in personal direction and decision making while holding to standards
of team-established accountability.
It is his individualistic approach to team leadership which encourages staff to conduct personalized clientele transaction experiences rather than sales; to “serve with excellence” as best reflected in the team’s mission statement:

Phil’s team thrives on a 192-step plan for success, as designed by Director of Operations Susan Ross, in which each step must be completed from contract to close. These steps incorporate concepts such as team commitment, financial stewardship and client advocacy with a view of the [client’s] big picture.
Phil’s 2009 experiences have urged a security driven approach rather than cash motivated with an emphasis on long-term thinking, manifested through his team’s consideration of long haul clientele financial positions above short-term sales commissions.
Phil continues his relational leadership style in conducting October business planning meetings with team members with an emphasis on serving more families with each successive year.
Phil is not shy about his faith and encourages team members to remain consistent in their own faith.
Such approach only serves to further unite, support and solidify the relationship he enjoys with his team, thus maintaining a rather impressive employee retention rate. Simply put, team members are generally happy because Phil’s vision and enthusiasm for achievement is clear and contagious.

As a result, the Phil Aitken Home Team has expanded at speeds greater than those of Jacksonville competitors in a mere four-year time span under the leadership of someone who once struggled to make his house payment.
In 2014, the two-member team closed out the year with nineteen home sales at a total volume of $3,706,171. With three team members banding together in 2015, the Phil Aitken Home Team nearly doubled their sales volume with a final tally of thirty-three sales valuing $6,226,650. Service experiences tripled in 2016 as four team members closed seventy-four transactions totaling $18,495,970.
Phil continued to lead as chief rainmaker and his team increased to six members in 2017. Conducting 113 transaction experiences, the Phil Aitken Home Team ended the year with a volume of $25,731,578.
The Phil Aitken Home Team is noted for making the list of top ten in volume of home sales each month and thrives on a nearly 70% repeat clientele/customer referral basis, thus strengthening the relationship-centered business model Phil originally envisioned a few years ago.

Phil took a leap of faith again in 2021 and decided to open his own brokerage, Your Home Sold Guaranteed Realty – Phil Aitken Home Team!
Phil now has his own brokerage, a team, an office building and is steadily wanting to grow more and more. With 8 members on the team now, he has hopes to expand to multiple cities across Florida within the coming years. In 2021 alone the Phil Aitken Home Team sold 100% of homes listed, 130 listings total, and ended the year with over $40 million in total volume.

As a man of faith and a strong devotion to Christ, Phil is an active member of Christian Family Chapel of Jacksonville where he serves the congregation as a deacon. Phil’s vision has always been faith-based as reflected in his love for people and team-building leadership. His desire to serve his clients in providing “WOW” experiences, remain security driven on behalf of his family, and maintain life-long relationships collectively play a role in building strong, healthy, financially sound communities.
The Phil Aitken Home Team continues to profoundly impact the people of Jacksonville via their involvement with The Tim Tebow Foundation. Phil Aitken Home Team partners with this amazing non-profit organization to fulfill children’s dreams and TTF’s slogan to “bring faith, hope, and love to someone needing a brighter day in their darkest hour of need.” In addition, the Phil Aitken Home Team also partners with Rethreaded. Phil Aitken loved the work this organization was doing for the Jacksonville community and he wanted to help in any way!
Their mission is “for every human trafficking survivor to have the chance to rebuild their lives. Rethreaded is on a mission to employ, train, and reignite hope for all survivors of human trafficking!”
All products sold by Rethreaded through local events and online gives freedom to women affected by the sex trade. Phil Aitken decided to use Rethreaded products for all house closing gifts!
While community contributions are high on the Phil’s list of priorities, his efforts are most experienced by his family. 6 grandchildren are a soft spot for Phil. His faith and compassionate leadership extend to them whether visiting the zoo or being silly with the kids as he strives to exhibit godly principles in hopes of creating a solid foundation for a Christ-centered legacy. Phil’s precious family will always be the “why” to his vision and the fuel to his fire.
