The Aitken Home Team is excited to share its top-secret list of five favorite spooky haunts for the Jacksonville newbie:
1. – Jacksonville Zoo
The Spooktacular at the Jacksonville Zoo is a great festivity for monsters of all ages. Enjoy touring exotic gardens amidst the roars of ferocious tigers, lions, and other scary beasts. This is both a great learning opportunity as well as a fantastic Halloween adventure. This adventure takes place October 12-31.
2. – The Catty Shack Ranch
Be sure to stop by the Catty Shack Ranch for their annual Halloween Haunted Forest. Enjoy an enchanted stroll through a creepy, crawly forest and partake of crafting opportunities, games, and a costume contest that is out of this world! Older monsters will enjoy the Trail of Fears whilst embarking on a scary evening out without the littles. This adventure takes place October 12-28.
3. – Spooky Skating
Avid skaters will enjoy a spooky Halloween late skate paired with a worm-eating and monster blood-drinking contest. Be sure to dress as a werewolf or vampire for the costume contest! Our money is on the vampires! This adventure takes place on October 26.
4. – Trick-Or-Treat
Perhaps you enjoy a simple, old-fashioned Halloween celebration with a round of trick-or-treating. Join Jacksonville downtown from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. in your greatest Halloween costume yet for some trick-or-treating at your favorite local businesses. This adventure takes place on October 31.
5. – Haunted Hotspots
Adults have the opportunity to enjoy an especially haunted evening out at Northeast Florida’s most horrifying venue yet: Adventure Landing. Beware the clown takeover while sneaking about the Pinehurst asylum. This adventure is recommended for ages twelve and over and takes place October 6-31. End your terrifying evening with a nightcap at The Haunted Brewery with a zombie hunt. This adventure takes place October 19-27 and costs $10.
However, you choose to celebrate the spooky season, remember to choose wisely and watch over the littles! The Aitken Home Team wishes you a safe and happy Halloween!
