Many survivors of human trafficking don’t have access to resources for housing, education, medical, support and more after they have been rescued. Around 80% have a chance of falling back into their former situation without a safe place to go with support and resources. They also experience higher levels of trauma as they try to rebuild their lives and everyday life. Survivor care is very important as survivors take steps to rebuild their lives and heal from the experience they went through. One of the ministries at the Tim Tebow Foundation, Her Song, provides survivor care and helps them with support and the steps to restart their lives. With an overwhelming number of survivors in the US, more resources are needed to help them transition into their new life.
