Feeling hopeless amidst overwhelming grief, 33-year-old Marlon didn’t know how to move forward.
Left with two severely disabled children, Emily who is autistic, and Randy, who has Down’s Syndrome, Marlon’s wife was tragically killed in a car accident resulting in a fatal aneurysm. Young Randy witnessed the entire trauma from the backseat of the car.
On top of that, Marlon suffered an accident twelve years prior resulting in blindness. This meant that Marlon, too, was facing his own physical struggles and challenges. The future looked bleak until Marlon received a call from The Tim Tebow Foundation’s Down Guatemala.
Tebow’s Down Guatemala offered scholarships and the special education Emily and Randy desperately needed. These special services left Marlon with tremendous peace despite his sadness, reminding him that there is always hope for the future.
