The Tim Tebow Foundation fights to protect children of all backgrounds and is especially passionate about joining in the fight against human trafficking in Ghana, Cambodia and Myanmar.
Robert was a recipient of TTF’s remarkable rescue efforts. At 14 years old, Robert was one of 13 children reintegrated into his community after being trafficked at a young age in Lake Volta’s fishing industry. He was promised an education, but was enslaved instead with no escape in sight. Upon being rescued, Robert spent time at an aftercare shelter, going to classes and spending time with friends. In December 2021, he was reintegrated back with his family.
Robert’s dream is to be a teacher and to play football. Robert states, “I’m happy I’ll also have the opportunity to go to school and not be on the lake and suffer from the hands of the boat master.”
